After
our last visit in Prague we were talking a lot that we have to do it again, but
this time more organize and more food-focused:) Well firstly I didn’t believe
it could be possible but at the end our super planner Domi make the dreams come
true and she selected amazing places which we visited and tasted. This time it
was good fun too as we went 4 girls on this trip so apart of the brilliant food
it was lots of fun involved there as well.
Here are the
places we visited during our stay:
Cafe
Imperial
I was
mentioning this place in my last post. We didn’t get in because mostly you need
to make the reservation. And we find out why. It’s not just about the very
interesting interior of the restaurant, breathing with atmosphere, where you
feel very cozy, but the food and the service is really one of a kind. Our waiter
was well pleasant, gave us as many advices as we needed to decide what our
belly is seeking for. The food we choose at the end was fabulous and we left
this place with feeling this will be always a place to visit when we return to
Prague. Wort all the money, lovely for Sunday lunch as well as evening dinner.
Hemingway
Bar
One of
the top recommended places to visit for a good drink, and yes its true. You
have to make a reservation, especially on busy days to be able to get in. I
like that the place is not big and that they don’t allow to get in more people
than they have places so there is it not crowded. It’s inspired by Ernest
Hemingway and the interior is decorated in that way which is very cozy. We
tried many drinks on menu, I liked the creative selection of drinks as well as
the good quality of their ingredients, so you feel ok day after trying and
mixing many of them:).
Kitchen
Ramen Bar
Domi
really wanted to find a good Ramen place, something comparing to a place in Brazil
where she tasted apparently the best ramen in her life, so we went here to give
it a go. The restaurant is very nice decorated. They have wide menu especially
of the ramens, so many, I didn’t in my dreams imagine that you can have so many
types. The ramen she choose at the end wasn’t what she was looking for, we
tried some friend noodles and cold noodles salad which were ok, but I ate
better in my life. The place has very good location is just a street away from
Narodní street, you can get there easily with metro, stop calls Mustek-B.
Misto
We
visited Misto for easy brunch and good coffee. The place is very minimalistic
decorated with a hip atmosphere of modern city (I felt like being in Amsterdam
or Copenhagen). When we were there around lunch time during the week, you can
see the business people coming here for quick lunch and grab a coffee on the
way back to work.
The
menu is not wide but for simple easy, quick and good quality eat is perfect
place to choose. Coffee was delicious too. Recommend to try when you will be
around.
Anonymus
Coffee
We
found this place on accident, when we were looking for some really good coffee
and what a place we found. I felt in love in minutes, so many thought thru
details I found there, such a passion for what they are doing there its always
fascinates me to find such a place nowadays, as it is quite rare. We tried so
many coffees there at that time I’m surprised we were not flying from the hype.
It was such an experience that we visited the place other days too, again very
happy with the service, taste of products and feeling that they care. If you
love coffee, definitely go to have a look and taste yourself.
Cestr
I’m not
a big steak fan, but this place is a must to try when you love this kind of
meat. In this restaurant they live and breathe with knowledge and love with
which they prepare various types of steaks, cooking with local ingredient,
serving wine after sommelier recommendation. I love the little things here too,
details as well such as logo, plates, menu, and whole concept, and is so well
thought thru.
It’s an
experience to enter this world of wisdom and passion for beef.
Anonymus
Bar
Yes,
Anonymus bar is connected with Anonymus coffee and so what you see and
experience there during day is what you get at night at this place. Experience.
That’s how I will describe it if I will have too just with one word. It’s a
place where you will see people which love what they are doing, which are there
for you as for the customer, which like to entertain you, give you away some
feeling you can take home after being there. It’s not easy to find this place,
but is definitely worth it to find it.
So go
to see for yourself.
Monolok
This is
a coffee place where they serve breakfast and some bits and pieces for lunch
too. It was ok to visit, but I wasn’t blown away like by the other places. Coffee
was better than usual, breakfast was ok, nothing special. I didn’t get the
concept of this place really, it was for me too futuristic, and I didn’t feel
very comfortable there. Like I will not to choose this place to sit for coffee
and talk or do some work in cozy ambient. But have a look for yourself, maybe
it just wasn’t for me :)
